More About the Interior of the Shrine Church

August 21st, 2008 Posted in Shrine

The lovely stained glass windows, in addition to other windows in the Shrine, provide worships with much to think about and much to pray about.  The many statues of the saints at the Shrine also help to focus one’s attention on the life and example of those men and women officially recognized by the Church for their holiness and goodness.  The beautiful sanctuary, though, with its alter and tabernacle, is central in importance and draws our attention to the Lord Himself, His continuing presence, His giving of Himself to us in the Eucharist.
